Committee Roles Overview: All parents of boys in the Troop are encouraged to attend Troop Committee meetings which are held monthly except during mid-summer. In addition all parents of boys in the Troop (who are not Scoutmasters or assistant Scoutmasters) are encouraged to take on a formal officer position in the Troop Committee. Elections are held in April every year for all Committee positions, although there are often vacant positions on the committee that can be filled year round. Committee members may serve multiple terms if they are re-elected. Committee members can only hold one of the defined positions at a time excepting the Chartered Representative who may also serve in another defined Committee Role. The sub-pages here (buttons to left) describe the roles of the various standard committee member positions. Not all positions are always staffed so some may be open to parent volunteers who wish to serve on the Troop Committee. Committee officers are expected to become registered adults, you can register before or immediately after your election to a committee officer position. Please contact the Troop Committee Chair for further information about open positions, job responsibilities, annual election details & process and committee meeting logistics.
