Den Chief - Job Description:

The Den Chief works with a cub scout den as a guide. He usually works with Webelos Scouts in the cub pack and reports to both the Den Leaders and the ASM responsible for the Troops new Scout Patrol.

This program is intended to ease bridging from Webelos Scouts to Boy Scouts by setting a good example and providing insight into how the Boy Scout Troop works.

Duties:

- Supports the purposes of Cub Scouting

- Helps Cub Scouts advance through ranks (esp. to Arrow of Light)

- Encourages Cub Scouts to join a Boy Scout Troop on graduation

- Is a friend to Cub Scouts in the Den

- Assists with Den meeting activities

- Attends pack meetings and meets with adult leaders as needed

- Den Chief On-Line Training
